Hosanbang Book Gallery

Hosanbang Book Gallery

Hosanbang Book Gallery is a research-based archive dedicated to the study and collection of nineteenth-century Western paintings, rare books, and historical works of art.

The collection approaches artworks through the analysis of material evidence, conditions of production, and traces of circulation. Rather than attribution, it emphasizes close reading grounded in physical structure.

Research, collection, documentation, and public access form a continuous process. The collection is understood not as ownership, but as a form of knowledge shaped through examination, accumulation, and transmission.
