Holdout Research

Holdout Research explains how markets work and how professionals trade them, built on data and primary sources.

What we cover:
• Markets: what is moving stocks, rates, currencies and commodities, and why
• Finance: valuation, risk, portfolios and the firms that manage them
• Quant finance: how systematic traders find an edge, test it, size it and execute it

The name comes from quant research. A holdout set is data kept aside for the final test, and we hold every idea to that standard.
