Hong Kong Doujin Philharmonia

Hong Kong Doujin Philharmonia (HKDP) is an orchestral doujin circle formed by anime-lovers, focusing on playing classical or other self-arranged Japanese ACG music. Rather than an ‘orchestra that plays doujin music’, HKDP is more of a ‘doujin circle that plays orchestra music’.

Since 2014, HKDP actively participates in various performance, recording production, and competitions. In 2015, HKDP musicians triumphed in the Hong Kong International Music Festival Western Instrumental Class, with an original arrangement of ‘Senbonzakura’, sending shockwaves across the doujin and classical music worlds. In 2017, the orchestra presented the first self-organised concert ‘Premiere 𝄇’. For the 10th anniversary concert ‘Tabisaki’ in 2024, we are honoured to have invited former NicoNico Orchestra conductor Kohmei and others to join us in Hong Kong.
