Hitting Cancer Below the Belt

Hitting Cancer Below the Belt (HCB2) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to colorectal (colon and rectal) cancer prevention. HCB2 provides early detection services for the uninsured, education opportunities for the community, and direct support services for patients and survivors. 
Inspired by her late husband's battle with colon cancer and passing in 2011, Executive Director Melinda (Mindy) Conklin established HCB2 to offer services and events to raise awareness, increase screening rates, and educate the community about colorectal cancer.
Nationally recognized and locally focused, HCB2 works with the medical community to reach vulnerable and high risk individuals. Through partnerships, HCB2 has funded colorectal cancer screenings to over 5,200 patients and educated tens of thousands of people about colorectal cancer prevention.
