Hey Cousins: Beyond the Diagnosis

I’m Cousin Shana, a Wellness Coach for people who test positive for herpes, author of "Outbreak Free: Your Guide to Living HSV Outbreak Free," and founder of Hey Cousins.

Diagnosed with herpes in 2015, I learned that HSV could be part of my story without becoming my identity. That experience inspired me to create Hey Cousins.

Here, we have honest conversations about HSV, stigma, self-worth, dating, disclosure, relationships, outbreaks, wellness, nervous system regulation, and emotional healing.

Because sometimes the hardest part of herpes isn’t the virus itself. It’s what we begin to believe about ourselves because of it.

I’m not here to tell you herpes doesn’t affect us emotionally, or that your life is over. I’m here to help you understand HSV, challenge stigma, care for yourself, and create a life that isn’t organized around your diagnosis.

You Have Herpes. You Are NOT Herpes.
