Heather the Nomad

Hi! I'm Heather the Nomad and I started living as a nomad on December 9, 2022. After researching the nomadic lifestyle for over 2 years,  I retired from my job,  downsized my life, and I bought a 1999 Born Free 26RSB that I named Maddy. After traveling for a year, I sold my RV in 2023 because I want to go smaller. I currently car camp in my 2015 Toyota Yaris and I will be buying and building out a micro camper in the very near future.

I travel with my 10 year old chihuahua mix named Elsa (that I inherited from my daughter’s family because we thought it would be the perfect match). I'm currently writing a book about my life titled "Donuts Are Dangerous: Memories from a High Functioning Depressive". Follow along as I document my journey. The good, the bad and the beautiful.
