Healthcare for All Ohioans (SPAN Ohio)

Healthcare for All Ohioans is a statewide coalition of organizations and people in Ohio seeking fundamental healthcare reform. We believe everyone deserves full and comprehensive healthcare coverage, regardless of their employment status or health conditions. Coverage should include the full range of medical services: hospitals, prescriptions, vision care, dental care, mental health care, home care, long-term care, and care for all injuries and illnesses.

We advocate for a public fund to pay all healthcare bills with no co-payments or deductibles. Funding would come from current statewide healthcare spending, savings from eliminating administrative waste of 1,500 private insurance companies and HMOs, and savings from greater utilization of preventive medicine.
