ilex is the solo project of Sydney drummer, percussionist and producer Holly Conner.
ilex live sets combine industrial, experimental and texturally rich tracks with heavy drums & percussion. 
Drawing inspiration from dark film soundtracks, techno, noise, strange creatures and the natural environment - .ilex creates sound worlds for a hybrid-mechanised-organic-alien future.

Coming from a diverse musical background - Holly Conner first studied rock drumming, classical percussion, and many drumming traditions from around the world - before completing a degree in jazz drum kit. She now integrates electronic elements into her performance practice and produces tracks. As a drummer, she has toured nationally and internationally, playing everything from free jazz and experimental music, to indie rock, dark-folk, and  art-pop live with producers. Her drumming is also featured on several indie film and television soundtracks.
