Ariane Saltoris I Gothic Horror & Dark Folktales

Hi, I’m Ariane Saltoris — author, folklorist, founder of Caipora Books, and horror fiction researcher.

Echoes of Empathy is a programme of licensed frameworks that use dark stories to approach societal issues through the universal lens of humanity.

Through Halls in the Forest, I explore Gothic fiction, dark folktales, supernatural traditions, and more.

On this channel, you'll find two sides of my work: using dark fiction to engage with difficult questions about the world we live in, uncanny stories.

Channel Schedule

1. Echoes of Empathy — two videos per month for educators, Feel-Good Managers, and others interested in using dark fiction to facilitate meaningful conversations.
2. Halls in the Forest — two videos per month for lovers of Gothic fiction, dark folktales, and the supernatural.

Whether you're here to challenge your perspective or lose yourself in a strange tale, I hope you have a — masked — ball here!
