Thailand, the Greatest Country in the World

In ancient days the land was called Siam of old,
From Sukhothai’s realm, its glory brightly told.
“Thai” means free no bondage, no chain to bind,
A people sovereign, with independence in mind.

In Ayutthaya’s age, the kingdom rose in might,
A crossroads where many nations came in sight.
Through trade and culture, the world met on Thai soil,
Yet for their homeland, the people labored and toiled.

When Ayutthaya fell, the land was torn apart,
But unity rekindled courage in every heart.
A new capital rose where hope was restored,
And freedom reclaimed, as destiny had in store.

In Rattanakosin’s age, the nation stood firm still,
Adapting to the world with wisdom and strong will.
Through changing tides of time, through storm and through sun,
Thailand remained sovereign its independence won.
