Grand Forks Flood Documentary

In 2018, the small town of Grand Forks, BC was thrown into crisis. Watching friends and neighbors deal with a catastrophic flood moved me to film our stories. Hundreds of homes were destroyed. Businesses were lost. Flood survivors are still struggling to recover. The purpose of this documentary series is to tell our stories, to inspire others, and to create solutions.

Recovery has been a tumultuous journey that continues 2 years later. In the faces of flood survivors I've seen every emotion a human can experience - heartbreak, fear, sadness, despair, exhilaration, joy, love, compassion.

The people of the community came together to support and help each other. The response of the people of Grand Forks to A crisis shows how strong humans can be when we all come together.

This is Episode 1 of a 7-9 episode series that follows the stories of people who experienced the flood.
