Flavian's notes on AI

Hi, I'm Flavian Vasile, Chief AI Architect at Criteo. My research focuses on performance recommendation and recommendation agents, and extends into off-policy RL, reasoning and generative AI.

On this channel I make visual tutorials on how AI models learn, reason and recommend, with the math on screen and each idea built up step by step. Expect a mix of:
• fundamentals: the core ideas behind modern AI, explained from scratch
• my published research, with the Recommendation Research Group at Criteo AI Lab
• reviews of my favorite AI papers
• hot takes on current AI news
• experiments I'm running

Written and fact-checked by me, animated and narrated with the help of AI tools. Every video has a companion article with the formulas and paper links: https://flavianv.github.io
