Vancouver Island Soaring Centre offers sightseeing tours and glider flight training in the Port Alberni Valley on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. We'll share our soaring adventures from local flights and international travels here on the channel, and share what we learn with you! 

SCENIC INTRO FLIGHTS: Experience the magic of silent flight as you soar on Mother Nature's thermal engine in a state-of-the-art two-seat glider. Flights range from 30-minutes to 1.5-hours, with longer flights soaring high above the Beaufort Range or Mt. Arrowsmith offering panoramic views of Georgia Straight and the West Coast of Vancouver Island. 

LEARN TO FLY GLIDERS: Vancouver Island Soaring Centre has been helping new pilots earn their wings in the Alberni Valley since 2005. From the very first flight, you will have a chance to be at the controls of your advanced two-seat PW6 sailplane. We also offer conversion training for existing pilots.
