Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center

The Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center is committed to enriching our community by cultivating the link between art, culture, and community. Our gallery space allows local artists to share their work, while our studio space provides a meeting place for clubs and groups to create together. Events, classes, and workshops invite the community to connect with each other, learn something new, and explore their creativity. We aspire to impart the value of the arts and to support the creative life of each visitor.

The Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center was a gift to the Wellsboro community by businessman, artist, and philanthropist, Arthur J. Gmeiner. Built in 1969, the gallery is home to hundreds of Mr. Gmeiner's paintings, which are displayed on a yearly basis. Our Main and Atrium Gallery spaces feature monthly exhibitions by artists from the area.
