Glacier-Two Medicine Alliance

Glacier-Two Medicine Alliance is a grassroots conservation community of ordinary, everyday people committed to conserving the lands, water, and wildlife of the Badger-Two Medicine region. We organized in 1984 to stop the industrialization of these national forest lands adjacent to Glacier National Park. Named for two rivers that spill from its mountain heights – Badger Creek and the Two Medicine River – these national forest lands provide vital habitat for some of Montana's most iconic wildlife species, including grizzly bears, elk, and moose. This area is also the location of many Blackfeet origin stories and is held sacred by the Tribe – a place they know as the Backbone of the World. Glacier-Two Medicine Alliance is dedicated to the long-term protection and stewardship of this culturally and ecologically significant region.
