Germans Early Out - Adventures in Early Retirement

We’re Kevin and Kim German. Life has a way of reminding you that time is finite, especially as we entered our 50s. In 2023 we sold our civil engineering and land surveying business, and after a transition period we officially retired in March 2025. We spent the next few months preparing our house to rent and our RV for full-time living, and in June 2025 at 52-years old we set off on the trip we had always imagined—the one where we didn’t have to turn around and go home.

When we’re not exploring the country in our Brinkley RV with our dogs, Pixel and Bixby, we’re traveling the world in search of the next great scuba dive. Our goal with this channel is share our adventures and to use our new spare time productively while meeting new people and building a community as we travel.

Expect content about early retirement, RV life, scuba diving, dog parent life, and life in general. It may be awkward and clumsy at first, but we hope you’ll stick around for the journey.
