Gardening on the Prairie

Welcome to Gardening on the Prairie. Gardening in Zone 4b (now 5a) in Southwestern Minnesota, think Little House on the Prairie meets Remote Web Developer.  Plants have always been a hobby of mine from FFA Floriculture competitions to backyard gardens and now a class of 2022 University of Minnesota Master Gardener volunteer.  We moved to rural Southwestern Minnesota in 2016 from the Minneapolis area and now I have room to expand my garden.  The kids help out, we farm, and I vend at the Farmers Market in the summer. This is a vlog (mostly short videos with very little editing) of my gardening and homesteading adventures, come along for the ride and see what it's like having a garden in the "north" in zone 4b.
