Suwitra Jaya Gamelan

Suwitra Jaya is a community Balinese gamelan founded by Dr Manolete Mora and based at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. Our instruments were commissioned by the UNSW School of Arts and Media in 2012, and are mode[led on the semar pegulingan from Sanggar Bona Alit in the Vice-Regency of Gianyar, Bali. We maintain close ties with Sanggar Bona Alit, which was established by Alit Adi Putra and his wife Agung Rai in 1996 for the teaching and performance of Balinese music and dance.
