Future of Places

The organizers of the Future of Places forum – United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), Project for Public Spaces and Ax:son Johnson Foundation – are convinced that the most productive way for a renewed approach to cities is a shift of focus from objects (architectural displays) to places (public spaces). The Future of Places organises an annual conference series 2013– 2015 in the lead up to Habitat III in 2016 – the United Nations conference that will shape the New Urban Agenda for the 21st Century.
