Fuku Kobo | Sewing with Toshimi Omura / Japan

Fuku Kobo is a sewing school in Izumo, Shimane, Japan. Whether you’re new to sewing, returning after a break, or making clothes that fit you, let’s enjoy sewing together.
New videos weekly: sewing lessons, new patterns, tutorials and visits to textile-producing regions. Learn neat finishes, how to read and use patterns, fitting adjustments and sewing basics.
Led by Toshimi Omura (小村淑美), a former patternmaker with Japan’s Grade 1 skills certification in patternmaking for women’s and children’s ready-to-wear clothing.
We value the joy of making: losing track of time as you sew, enjoying the process—even the mistakes—and wearing something you made yourself.
Many videos are produced in high resolution, including 4K, so you can see the handwork on a large TV.
