From The Big House To The Penthouse 

So, who is this Ricky Cruz guy and what’s this podcast thing all about? 

Ricky is a recovering drug addict who wants to bring the message of “The lie is dead. We do recover.”. Throughout this podcast, Ricky shares the raw truths of drug addiction. He also shares the joys of recovery. 
At his lowest point, Ricky was released from jail on 9 years of probation and was mandated by the courts to enter a drug rehabilitation center. While he was in jail, his wife had divorced him and he lost custody of his children. Most of his family would not speak to him. He had lost his home to foreclosure. His auto mechanic business, Cruz N Carz, had failed and closed. He had pawned all his tools and would have to start all over. Ricky had already been to rehab several times in the past and was unsuccessful in staying clean. This time though, he was determined to never go back to jail and to rebuild his life. 
Today, Ricky has been clean from drugs and alcohol for a decade.
