Friends of Heritage Sites Tamil Nadu

FoHS TN is a society founded in 2015 to serve as a platform to connect heritage buffs & enthusiasts, particularly those interested in understanding and exploring Tamil history, heritage and culture. Our key objectives are to:
    * Create a social space for heritage enthusiasts
    * Conserve ecology & natural heritage in relation to heritage monuments.
    * To make Tamil Nadu the leader in Heritage Tourism
    * Address environmental issues in heritage sites by coordinating with government bodies and working with local communities to enhance their livelihood.
    * Identify and promote archaeologically and historically significant remote and less-known sites in the region.
    * Promote less known art and craft forms.
    * Undertake awareness programmes for people from different walks and life.
    * Promote the interest and welfare of the local community by creating ‘Heritage Hubs’ that would showcase the tradition and intangible ethos of the region.
