Franny Knight | Kansas City Stories

I’m Franny Knight, the creator and personality behind Urban Cool KC. I’m a Kansas City historic-home specialist, Realtor, neighborhood curator, and storyteller with 19 years of full-time real estate experience in Kansas and Missouri.

I created Urban Cool KC to celebrate Kansas City’s incredible historic and vintage homes, cool neighborhoods, architecture, design, and local stories. Today, I lead a small but mighty real estate team that curates distinctive homes for sale and helps homeowners prepare, position, and market unique properties.

My content explores how Kansas City’s homes, neighborhoods, architecture, culture, transportation, development, and social history shaped the city we know today—often through an anthropological lens.

My voice is unapologetically colorful, neighborhood-obsessed, irreverent, artistic, curious, and politically aware. My audience includes anyone who loves Kansas City—not only people currently buying or selling real estate.
