Forgotten Canadian Brands

Welcome to Forgotten Canadian Brands — where Canada’s lost products, vanished companies, and once-iconic names come back to life.

We uncover the rise and fall of forgotten Canadian brands, from classic soft drinks and regional beverage companies to food, restaurants, retail chains, and household names that generations of Canadians grew up with.

What happened to the brands that once filled Canadian stores? Why did successful companies disappear? Were they destroyed by competition, corporate takeovers, changing tastes, or costly mistakes?

Through fascinating stories, vintage advertising, and Canadian business history, we explore the brands that helped shape everyday life from the 1950s to the 1990s — and reveal why so many vanished.
