Forbidden Cinema

Welcome to Forbidden Cinema, the home of movies that refused to play it safe.
Modern Hollywood is obsessed with playing by the rules, but we’re here to celebrate the eras when cinema was dangerous, unhinged, and unapologetically bold. From the seductive, razor-edged thrillers of the 90s to the gritty "hagsploitation" horror of the 60s, we dig up the films that studios tried to bury and audiences couldn't forget.
We explore the dark corners of film history, covering:
The Unhinged & The Seductive: 90s erotic thrillers and toxic relationships that burned up the screen.
The Buried & The Cursed: Forgotten 80s horror gems and cursed productions with disturbing histories.
The Golden Age’s Dark Side: Pitch-black Noirs, dangerous leading ladies, and the Technicolor classics that defined a generation. The Psychological Toll: Movies that messed with audiences, from 50s Sci-Fi paranoia to brutal war dramas.
