Flying Carpet Children Festival

Welcome to the official channel of the Flying Carpet Festival, the world's first mobile arts initiative bringing radical imagination and healing to refugee children in conflict zones. Operating on a portable platform, we unite international musicians, circus artists, and storytellers to co-create magical, trauma-informed experiences with youth along the Turkish-Syrian border. Founded by composer Sahba Aminikia and partnered with Sirkhane Social Circus School, our collective is a globally celebrated model for social change. Featured by prominent media outlets like TED, NPR, Associated Press, and the San Francisco Chronicle, we are deeply honored to have our impact recognized on the world stage, most notably with our founder being named a Laureate of the 2025 Aga Khan Music Award (AKMA). Subscribe to witness our live performances, workshops, and the unyielding joy of resilient children. Learn more: https://www.flyingcarpetfestival.org
