Federation of Indian Plywood and Panel Industry

The Federation of Indian Plywood and Panel Industry (FIPPI), founded on 2 November 1961 in Kolkata, as a unified platform for India’s plywood and panel sector during the nation’s push for industrial self-reliance. Initially a coalition of regional associations, FIPPI has grown into the apex body representing manufacturers nationwide. Relocating its headquarters to New Delhi, it actively engages with the Central Government on policies covering transport, excise, tariffs, forestry, plantations, and environmental conservation. 
Its vision is to empower growth, sustainability, and global competitiveness through collaboration, innovation, and stewardship. FIPPI’s mission is to build an inclusive organization that fosters cooperation, advocates supportive policies, promotes quality and sustainable sourcing, and drives continuous improvement in standards and technology—strengthening India’s competitiveness and positioning the sector globally.
