Military Finance Field Manual

Hi, I’m Jon, the guy behind Financial Field Manual. After 18+ years on active duty, this channel is my way of sharing some of the things I’ve learned about the ins and outs of military pay, benefits, and how some of the most valuable financial information is found in the stuff we talk about the least. Everybody knows about the retirement pension, about TSP, and about the tax-free benefits of deploying. But how many of us understand the differences (and risks versus rewards) between SGLI and VGLI? Or how about VA loan dynamics? Do you understand the tax implications of BRS continuation pay?

This channel is about going deeper, beyond the obvious things, and into the real secrets of building your financial future while serving your country.
