Federation of State Humanities Councils

The Federation of State Humanities Councils (FSHC) is the membership organization of the 56 state and US territory humanities councils. FSHC supports and strengthens the councils through national advocacy, partnerships and collaborations, events, and resources. The state humanities council network is one of few networks that reach locally into communities, across each individual state and US territory, and nationally. This channel will highlight council programs, national partnerships, speakers, and events in order to demonstrate how the humanities can be used to provide context and encourage connection, conversation, and understanding – in short, to show why the humanities are so important in everyday American life.
