Figure and Ground Records

Figure & Ground is an independent record label based in St Albans, Hertfordshire UK, supporting and promoting artists and inspiring musicians from around the world.

Our roster is a small but diverse collection of bands and individuals linked by a passion for musical purpose: artists signed to F&G are storytellers using lyrics and/or music to convey themes, observations and convictions. We all have something to say and on this label we give talented musicians a chance to do just that.

Figure & Ground stable mates often collaborate on joint projects, enhancing and supporting each other’s music despite not being in the same geography. Our ethos is creativity and authenticity.
