Family Planning Toolkit

Welcome to the B’more for Healthy Babies Family Planning Toolkit.

The family planning toolkit was design in collaboration with the Baltimore City Health Department, B’more for Healthy Babies, and the Center for Social Design at the Maryland Institute College of Art. The goal of this project was to create a resource to be used by community health workers to support open and comfortable discussions around family planning decision-making. We partnered with over 150 health workers, 25 home visitation clients, 10 medical advisors, and 6 content experts to collaboratively design this interactive toolkit.

The Toolkit resources help you talk about myths and misconceptions around various birth control methods, how to navigate challenges with accessing health care, advocating for what you need when at the doctor’s office, how to talk to a partner about birth control, and overall goal setting and pregnancy planning.
