EVON BLAKE POLICE AND POETRY

Former detective of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, Author of book, A POLICE MANS WAR : IN THE DIRECT LINE OF FIRE. shaped in the deadly reality of St. Andrew South. I’ve lived Jamaica’s crime epidemic firsthand — surviving two gunshot injuries, fighting gangs, corruption, and the silent wars inside the Force. Medically discharged after my last injury in 2007, but the mission to speak truth never left me.

Jamaica is one of the hardest countries to police: corruption from the top, violence in the streets, and a society often hostile toward law enforcement. Through Poetry & Police, I break down the headlines, expose hidden patterns, and give the public a real detective’s view of crime, politics, and policing.

My book A Policeman’s War captures the battles I fought and the Jamaica I tried to save.

This channel is where truth wears the uniform.
