ESU Creative Writing Program

The official channel for the Emporia State University Creative Writing Program and Donald Reichardt Center for Publishing and Literary Arts. 

Our Creative Writing Program offers friendly, student-focused instruction in small, workshop-based courses across a range of genres and literary activities. Courses range from poetry, prose, play, and creative nonfiction to multimedia projects.

In addition to supporting the Creative Writing program and events, the Reichardt Center houses the annual national literary journal Flint Hills Review, Quivira Student Literary Journal, ESU Visiting Writers Series podcast, and Blue Stem Press.
