What does it mean to be at a Historically Black College or University? What does it look like to be invested by people that look like yourself? "ESSENCE: Nothing Can Control Us" is a four-year documentary answering those exact questions. Through the lenses of Cameron Elyse, the documentary will follow the four-year trajectory of an undergraduate student while examining the highs, lows, and in-betweens of navigating the college journey.
