Environmental Studies Speaker Series at AlfredU

The Environmental Studies Program at AU has sponsored weekly seminars during the fall semester for 25 years. Our goal has been to introduce our students, as well as the campus and broader Alfred community, to a wide variety of environmental issues and solutions. Our speakers have come from several states and countries and have included professions from industry, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and academia. Over the years we have invited many of our alumni to come back and present seminars. Because we have been doing this for over two decades, many of the alumni speakers we have now attended the seminars themselves as students! The seminars have been funded by the Hagar endowed chair held by ENVS faculty.
