Doodle Vault

Ever wondered why humans do things the way we do?

Why do we work? How did money begin? Who invented writing? Why are there 7 days in a week? How did cities, taxes, schools, banks and technology become part of our lives?

The Doodle Vault explores the fascinating stories behind the things that shaped human civilization.

From ancient history and strange inventions to money, work, science, technology and everyday life — we break down big questions with simple explanations and humorous hand-drawn stickman animations.

Because the things we take for granted today usually have a much stranger story behind them.

New stories. New questions. New discoveries.
