Folclorico Colibri

Folclórico Colibrí Is a Mexican folklorico dance organization with the mission to promote the LGBTQ+ Latinx pride through the art of Mexican folklórico dance. Our mission also seeks to promote and preserve our customs and traditions through cultural and educational projects as well as staged performances.

It was the vision of Maestro Arturo Magaña to create a unique folklorico group where the LGBTQ+ Community would have a creative platform to express and validate our sexual and cultural identity. In May of 2021 Folclórico Colibrí founded the first LGBTQ+ Mexican folklorico dance academy.
