Engla Beorhtast Tales

Exploring world mythology, legends, folklore, their history, symbolism, cultural context, and hidden meanings.

Welcome!

I'm Engla Beorhtast, a storyteller with a passion for world mythology, legends, fairy tales, and folklore. This channel explores ancient stories not just as entertainment, but as reflections of the beliefs, history, and cultures that created them.

Here you'll find myths, legends, epics, and folklore from around the world, along with their origins, symbolism, historical background, and cultural significance. We explore gods, goddesses, spirits, heroes, and mythical creatures, as well as the rituals, traditions, and societies connected to them.

Each episode is based on historical sources, archaeology, academic research, and comparative mythology. Rather than simply retelling stories, we uncover what they meant, how they evolved, and why they continue to influence the modern world.

Welcome to a journey through the stories that have survived for millennia.
