European and International Environmental Law

The Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module on European and International Environmental Law (EIEL) aims to provide students, practitioners and civil society with in-depth knowledge about the state of the art of European and international environmental law and policy, its achievements and challenges, and its interaction with emerging environmental issues and landmark intergovernmental processes.

The Module is co-funded by the European Commission for the period 2020-2023, and it is hosted by the University of Siena, Italy. It builds upon, and is closely related to, the former Jean Monnet Module in European Union Law and Sustainable Development (EULawSD), which was hosted at the same institution and directed by Prof. Riccardo Pavoni from 2017 to 2020.
