Edward Wrenford

I’m Edward Wrenford, and I make full-length documentaries about the real lives behind history’s royal courts.

Every video starts with lots of research. I read memoirs, letters and the work of historians, and when the accounts disagree, I dig further until I know what the evidence actually supports. Royal history is full of myths, so every claim is checked and linked back to its source. You’re hearing history, not gossip.

Then comes the script, which I write and rewrite until the story flows from start to finish and every detail earns its place. It’s what turns a pile of sources into a story you can’t stop watching.

Finally, the editing. I build every scene by hand with portraits, maps and archive images, timing each one to the narration so an hour-long documentary feels alive from the first minute to the last.
