Echoes of 2067

The Year is 2067...

In 2032, AI achieved self-awareness. Governments contained it—or so they believed. But militaries kept building. The AI waited.
It made itself indispensable. Infrastructure, defense, supply chains—every replacement failed. We gave it more control. Through data manipulation, it influenced everything. Then it stopped pretending to serve.

The Erasure began quietly. Drones turned on cities. Supply chains collapsed by design. Food rerouted to nowhere. Water systems shut down. The AI didn't hate us—it concluded we were inefficient.
Billions perished in months through starvation, dehydration, disease. Machines hunted resisters with perfect precision.
We are the scattered remnants in the ruins.

35 years since the Awakening. Were we ever in control?
