ELRU

The Early Learning Resource Unit (ELRU) is a nonprofit organisation that specialises in the delivery of quality early childhood development (ECD) programmes in the poorest and most vulnerable communities in South Africa.  We give vulnerable children ages 0–6, an equal start in life by supporting the adults around them. Pregnant women, primary caregivers, ECD practitioners and principals are capacitated with skills and tools that support the children in their care through each stage of their development. 
ELRU service offering includes three flagship ECD Programmes and Training:
1.	Family and Community Motivator Programme (First 1000 days/conception to age 2) – home visiting
2.	Playgroups Programme (ages 3-5) – Community-based 
3.	Whole Centre Development Programme (ages 0-6) – ECD Centre based
4.	Training – Across all programmes.
