Dying Day

Behold my musical legacy!
Over the years I've played in a few bands, but Dying Day was my first serious stab at a musical career. I wanted to document some of the music here so that it isn't lost forever.

Dying Day was active between 1996 and 2003, which as anyone old enough to remember will know, was a pretty dark time for metal in the UK - nu-metal was mainstream, and the underground still consisted of a few pockets in the north east, and a network of tape-trading globally. Scandinavia had some fantastic stuff coming out but the UK was pretty dead in the water for a few years there, so probably not the best time to launch a death thrash band. I'm proud that we stayed the course and managed to get five albums out anyway.

Still, enough moaning - we had a great time making and playing this music. I've also included GUNT, a follow-up project that threw off any pretence of being serious and went full party.

Enjoy!
