DV8 is a hip-hop artist born and raised in Portsmouth, VA and is currently residing in Jacksonville, FL.  He is known for his intricate, skillful lyrics and unique song concepts.

A lifelong hip-hop head, he began rapping in middle school, inspired by Wu-Tang Clan, A Tribe Called Quest, Nas, Souls of Mischief, and many more. 

He and long time friends and collaborators 1lankh and J.CO formed the group Verse Coast and recorded the album Loan Wolves in 2022. Loan Wolves was the soundtrack to a comedy short film of the same name which he wrote, directed and acted in. ( https://youtu.be/588R5Q8ZSjk?si=U6E-zJjFkJ7BPgJS )

DV8 is a married father of 3, has a degree in Biology and is established in his professional career. He converted a room in his house into a studio and makes music purely out of creative passion and a love for hip-hop music and culture. 

His debut solo EP, Solar Flair is scheduled for release in early 2026.
