Dr Si Walker

I'm Dr Si Walker—researcher, lecturer, and professional nerd—bringing you engaging content across history, suicide prevention, research methods, and academic skills. If you’ve ever wondered how to craft a strong academic argument, why suicide prevention research matters, or what soldiers ate in wartime (yes, really), you’re in the right place.

You might know me from my research in occupational health, military medicine, and mental health or from projects like Feeding Under Fire—my YouTube series exploring food in wartime. I'm also stand up comedian @buckaroobonsi

This channel is all about making research accessible, insightful, and (dare I say) entertaining. Expect lectures, tutorials, and deep dives into the fascinating (and sometimes bizarre) corners of academia. Whether you're a student, educator, or just here for the historical oddities, hit subscribe and join me in making learning engaging and thought-provoking.
