He was awarded the Outstanding Graduating Scholar Award during Internal Medicine Residency and the Top Nephrologist Award for the year 2017 in the USA. 
He worked as a Consultant Nephrologist in Albany NY USA and Medical Director at Fresenius Kidney Care, Saratoga Springs for over 6 years before returning to Pakistan. He is visiting Clinical Assistant Professor at the Albany Medical College, New York USA.
