DREAD Band

Formed in early 2013 by Fran Kocijan(vocals), Danijel Pirc(rythm guitar) and Tomislav Kos(bass), Dread is a death metal band from Zagreb, Croatia that mixes groove, thrash and progressive metal influences. Adam Ivanković(lead guitar and former Proleter bassist) and Ivan Grandov(drums) completed Dread's first lineup. After 7 months of making steady progress as a band, Ivan Grandov decided to depart from the band for personal reasons. He was promptly replaced by Filip Bartoluci(former Volfram drummer) who joined the band after responding to an internet ad. In early 2014, Dread then went to work on their own songs, written by Fran Kocijan and Adam Ivanković. After a 2 month preparation to start performing live, the band was unable to schedule a show due to a lack of a demo. The members of the band then decided that they would rather do an actual EP if they were to record. In June of 2014, Dread went to record in Inciter Studio, Brezje and helped by Vedran Cecelja, finished their EP.
