Department of Studies in Law  established in 1973 under the aegis of the University of Mysore, the Department of Studies in Law is located in the heart of Mysuru, a city renowned for its rich cultural heritage. As part of the sixth oldest university in India, the department has emerged as a premier institution for legal education and research in Southern India. The Department offers a distinguished two-year Master of Laws (LL.M.) program with specializations in Constitutional Law and International Law, enabling students to align their studies with their academic interests and professional aspirations. In addition, the Department also offers a Doctoral (Ph.D.) program in Law, fostering advanced research in various legal domains.
