Don'tLookAway Campaign

Don’t look away

If you witness a transnational child sex offence, you have a choice: seeing the problem and reporting it or looking away. With the ‘Don’t Look Away’ campaign, the Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice encourages you to report suspicions of child sex offenses. Dutch citizens who are guilty of these offenses are punishable. The police need your help in order to prosecute the perpetrators. There is not one definition of the child sex tourist. Child sex tourists can be all ages, nationalities, religions and walks of life. Rich or poor, straight or gay, married or single. Although the majority are men, there are also female child sex tourists. To continue to work to raise awareness about these various perpetrators, we have developed three different animations. The films are made with an English voice-over and English subtitles.
The three different perpetrators are characterised as follows:
1. Situational offender
2. Preferential offender
3. Live web-cam sex tourist
