Dmytro Samoilov | Mobile Dev

Hey, Dmytro here. I am a mobile engineer and I build apps where the AI runs on your phone, not on somebody's server.

I have been building Android apps for 10 years. More than 30 of them went to production, and some of them are used by millions of people every day. Now I am making my own apps with local models, and on this channel I show how it actually goes, what works on a normal phone, what kills the battery and what I had to throw away.

My first one is Offhand. You talk, and couple of minutes later there is a readable note, and nothing leaves your phone. I made it because I didn't feel good about my voice notes going to some cloud.

Here you will find:
- on-device AI on Android and iOS, from real projects
- building apps in public, with the numbers
- talks I give at meetups here in Lisbon

If you build mobile apps and want to add AI to them, you are in the right place.
